The room was lovely. Sadly the view does to match the beauty of the building! The pool and spa area were wonderful, and empty during the day although they did fill up Friday evening! Breakfast had a good spread but the hot food was a bit disappointing, scramble eggs should be freshly cooked, not standing and getting rubbery. Excellent juices and coffee and some interesting options on the buffet that I loved, overnight oats with banana and chia were great!

Great location. Can go straight into the mountains walking from the hotel. Beautiful mountains. Lots of trails. Hotel is beautiful. Has an outdoor pool and an indoor spa. Staff very friendly. Very friendly with dogs too.

The staff was always smiling and very helpful, making our stay truly enjoyable. The pool and spa area were excellent, providing a perfect space to relax. Both restaurants were outstanding—the outdoor one was truly amazing. The breakfasts were good, and the hotel is set in a beautiful, historic building with attention to every detail. Our son was thrilled to receive his own set of toiletries, small slippers, and a teddy bear. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Dear reader Even though I don't usually give reviews because they are usually subjective, I would like to give one now. I stayed at this beautiful hotel together with a work colleague in CW12 2024. We were given a very warm welcome, almost like a family, and you could see how everyone looked after the guests. The breakfast was excellent and you got everything you needed the homemade bread or the rolls were very tasty. The restaurant was also very good, for the first time in my life I ate goat, a speciality, I can only recommend trying it. All in all it was a great time on site and I highly recommend this hotel. Absolutely everything!! Brilliant check-in from staff - friendly and warm welcoming. It was super cold outside but it was really nice and warm inside. The rooms were really lovely and super comfortable. There was a small, really thoughtful gift on the bed when I arrived. There was also a really lovely body scrub to use (similar to what is used in the spa apparently). The breakfast was brilliant. There was good choice of products: bread, sweets, cheese and everything was top-notch quality. I don't particularly like being served at the table to get coffee but it worked well. These little touches plus the brilliant breakfast make me want to come back!

From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional. We'd cycled over from Gois across the mountains so were hot tired and dusty. The reception team were very welcoming, we were checked in and shown to our room and were able to take our bikes to the room too. The rest of our party chose to use the basement bike room, they were very impressed by the service they received there as well, the ebikes were put on charged and locked up securely for the night. I had a massage in the spa which was of a high standard and just what I needed. I recommend having dinner in the hotel restaurant, we booked a table and spa treatments by email the day before we arrived, quick and efficient response straight back from the hotel reception team. Our dinner was exceptional, great food and attentive service. One of our party is gluten free, and they were extremely accommodating and happy to make any changes required to the food. A truly excellent and enjoyable stay, 5 stars all round with the level of service from all members of staff being the absolute winner. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

The hotel is amazing with an excellent breakfast and cocktails. Bed and pillows so comfortable you could sleep all day. What is even more amazing about this place is the staff. Always smiling, helpful and easy going in the best way. They were so helpful in helping us get our delayed luggage and also in ordering a cab early in the morning and facilitating an early breakfast so we could catch our plane. If you are ever in Lousa, you should definitely book this hotel and stay there.
